Warehouse Money no longer offers travel insurance.  But don’t worry, your travel insurance needs are in good hands. We previously partnered with nib to provide travel insurance policies and service to our customers. nib is one of New Zealand’s largest insurance providers.

If you are an existing Warehouse Money policy holder nib will continue to look after you. Your policy will soon change to a nib branded policy. The terms, conditions, benefits, limits and exclusions of your travel insurance policy are NOT affected by this change.

Frequently asked questions for existing Warehouse Money Travel Insurance customers

1. What has changed?
Following the sale of the Warehouse Money business to Finance Now, a decision has been made to no longer sell travel insurance under the Warehouse Money brand in New Zealand.

2. What does this mean to me?
It simply means the Warehouse Money brand will not appear on future travel insurance documentation, this will now be nib. The terms, conditions, benefits, limits and exclusions of your travel insurance policy are NOT affected by this change. Your policy is still managed by Cerberus Special Risks and underwritten by certain underwriters at Lloyd’s. 

3. What about upcoming travel if I have to make a claim?
Any claims will be processed under the normal terms and conditions of your policy

4. Can I extend the duration of my current travel insurance policy?
Yes, standard extension rules apply. Contact nib to make changes to your policy.

5. Can I cancel my policy?
You can cancel your policy within the 14 day cooling-off period provided you have not and will not make a claim, do not want to exercise any other right under your policy and you have not started your trip. Contact nib to request cancellation.

6. Can I buy a new policy?
You can’t purchase a new Warehouse Money travel insurance policy, but visit nibtravel.co.nz to get a quote for a similar product.

7. Where do I find my policy documents and other important information relating to my policy?
Contact nib to get a copy of your policy details emailed to you. 

8. How do I make a claim? 
Visit nibtravel.co.nz/claims to get a claim form and for information on how to claim.

9. Who underwrites the Warehouse Money cover?
Warehouse Money Travel Insurance is provided by Holiday Travel Insurance (a related entity of nib). Holiday Travel Insurance is a registered Financial Service Provider and member of the Insurance & Financial Services Ombudsman dispute resolution scheme. This policy is managed by Cerberus Special Risks and underwritten by certain underwriters at Lloyd’s. 

10. What do I have to do?
There’s nothing you need to do as a result of this change – we’ve got you covered. The type of policy you have, how you claim, what you can claim on and all of your policy history will be the same.
